Happy Autumn!!!

I still have my beach treasures, but now I have a delicious apple and new leaves and flowers to play with.

I'm cute!!! Come say "Hi" to me!!!

I'll even let you play with my seashells.

"Beach Girl" has been envisioned for a very long time and has finally sprung to life.  I did a completely new design with her.  She has a very chubby body as I wanted a more childish/thicker body for her.  Little tail of course.  The arms are more straight than I've been doing as of late and the knees are sharply bent, enabling her to sit and play with her seas shells.  She's one of those fab, versatile bears that's easy to decorate for various holidays, so she could be sitting playing with Easter eggs and chickies, or gathering flowers around to create a May chain, or when Fall comes, a swirl of leaves...the ideas are endless.

"Beach Girl" is downy muskrat in two different colours, a plush, powder soft bone muskrat for the face, head and body, and a lush, longer dark chocolate muskrat for the limbs, ears and tail.  She's been fully and properly lined, and as with all my bears, she's completely done by hand, every last stitch. She has a dark ultrasuede nose with mouth embroidery.  Her chubby cheeks and adorable expression have been handscissored.   And aren't those little tiny pink bows with the hearts perfect for her?  Very girlie, girlie.

Her pawpads are dark chocolate ultrasuede that I've trapuntoed to create poofy pawpad details, and then shaded with a black coloured pencil for definition.  I did a different pad design (that was fiddly and took foooorever! ) on her pawpads, and then poofy toes for the footpads.

My fiddly feet.  See my little tootsies?

"Beach Girl"'s a hefty girlie, very sweet, and easy to hug and hold.  She has five locknut hardboard disc joints to give her a wide range of poses, but do keep in mind that her strongly bent knees will keep her from standing.  She's been stuffed with new polyfil and has a tummy pouch of heavy copper coated bbs to give her the proper feel and weight.   She'll come with her various assortment of triton and clam shells and beach glass in blue, purple and green hues.

My widdle tail....
