Stolen Bears

Yeaaahawwww!!!  The boy's name is "Utah"!

"Utah'' has been a very persistent bear, he's been itching to be born since December.  He's also been one of the hardest I've had to make.  His head and body are made of a very orangish reddish bleached raccoon, and his limbs, ears and tail are from a dusty fox.  Talk about handcramps!  I've had to take breaks during his creation.  He's been worth every single stitch, though.  What an expression....what an attitude!

His name, "Utah'' comes from the colours of the fur.  The deep reddish orangish raccoon, and dusty fox colours remind me strongly of the brilliantly coloured rocks in the state of "Utah".  So it stuck.

Details, details.... "Utah'' is 8 1/2 inches from his poofy trapunto toes to the top of his fluffy head. He's been five way jointed with hardboard locknut joints, and he can stand, but because the fur is so thick near his feet, you'll need to assist his standing.

"Utah" has been properly and fully lined and is completely handstitched, and double sewn for durability.  He sports a cute little tan ultrasuede nose, and handblown German glass eyes.  His paws are tan ultrasuede, and I've used a trapunto technique for his hands and feet, giving him adorable poofy toes... although you'll have to go wading through fur to see them  !!  I've added colouring to his paws and nose to add depth as well.

This adorable little boy took a full day of handscissoring just to get his expression right.  He's very sweet, with a peaches n cream complexion....which he hopes doesn't mess with his 'rugged' boyish attitude.  He's been stuffed with new polyfil, a tummy pillow of copper coated steel bbs and lots of love.

"Utah's adoption fee is $1,300.  If you'd love to give this sweetheart a new home, please contact me at debbiediment@yahoo.com
